Digital Slaves

Each year approaching new year UFA's façade illuminates and offers to Beyruth's inhabitants a fairy show.

This year the proposition evolved towards mapping, a first in Middle East.

Digital Slaves has been chosen to implement and supervise this architectural projection. At first we produced the technical specifications related to video content's production, and animated a workshop in Beyruth with all the artists selected to participate to the competition.

Then we directed the mapping on site and broadcasted the show.For this year we have developped a customised solution using vvvv programmation library in order to adapt to the site's implantations constraints.For the first time in Middle East this new artistic discipline allowed to transform UFA's headquarters in a gigantic media façade serving lebanese creativity.This event gathered over 12 000 spectators on Martyr's Place.

The climax of the show being New Year's evening ponctuated by the countdown to new year's transition and a free concert.
